I recently picked this game up to play with my sister and have been looking for bullet-building guides; unfortunately, the guide's formatting is broken on my desktop, and reddit have decided that you are not allowed to read long posts on your phone without using the reddit app, as if they've become a newspaper. Consequently, in part for my own benefit, I've decided to recreate the post with modern Reddit. Most of the guide has been reposted word-for-word. In some instances, I have corrected typographical/grammatical errors, rephrased things for extra clarity, or added my own remarks - the latter case is prefaced with "Ed:". Additionally, in some aspects, the guide that was posted was incorrect with regards to Resurrection - presumably as a side effect of also being a guide to GE2RB, and also translating from Japanese and from Burst. Where possible, these instances have been corrected, updated to match the localization, or have extra remarks regarding my confusion. Bullet Types You can find information about nine different basic bullet types in-game under Terminal > Database > Bullets. Some of these are split up into subtypes, each with unique properties and modes of use.
>Bullet: Shot
This type is available to all gun categories (though with heavy restrictions on Shotguns, and no homing for Snipers), and are probably the most versatile and Oracle efficient. These bullets deal damage to a single target (without modifiers) in a ratio of 60% physical (piercing) and 40% elemental. They can be used as master and slave modules.

This type is available to all gun categories, but again imposing the same restrictions on Shotgun compatibility. Lasers are more expensive than their Shot equivalents, but with the innate quality to penetrate through humans and Aragami, they are capable of dealing damage to multiple targets in a line. The damage ratio is 40% physical (piercing) and 60% elemental. Finally, Lasers can only be used as slave modules.

This type is available to all gun categories. Orbs deal a small amount of damage on contact, but are typically used as intermediary modules to serve as delivery platforms for additional bullets. They can be used as master and slave modules.
(Ed: Resurrection added a bunch of time-related modes for Orbs, which I've separated on the table as "Stop Time" and "Cling Time". No idea what the functional difference is, since I'm pretty bad at making bullets. Anyone actually knows this, get at me and I will edit it in. Most likely, they actually do what the Control: Stop parts used to do; those no longer exist in Resurrection.)

(Ed: Some Control types no longer exist in Resurrection, so they've been omitted from the table. Also, Snipers and Shotguns do have access to Control: Aim at Foe in Resurrection.)

Obviously, any factors that increase Oracle cost (such as modifiers) will reduce the efficiency, and those that decrease cost (skills) will improve efficiency.
(Ed: Resurrection added some Heal bullet types that don't restore HP, which are listed in the Notes section for shots that support them. Cost listed after + is the added value for using ATK Up/DEF Up/Status Recovery instead of restoring HP. Value listed under efficiency is the amount of HP restored for every 1 OP expended to fire the bullet for a single target; secondary targets will have reduced HP restoration.)

Officially not a category on its own, but I’ve decided to separate these from the others just so I can organise the data a bit differently from the other tables. These bullets deal less damage than their regular counterparts and instead apply a small amount of debuff (available in toxic, paralysis, and anti-divine flavours). The skill Debuff Stacking will help you reach trigger thresholds faster.
(Ed: I have a strong suspicion that the efficiency/debuff values have been changed in Resurrection, so I've left them off; you can check the original table in the original post, which is linked at the top of this post.)

Lastly, this type of non-damaging bullet mimics the visual effects of other bullets (Shots, Lasers, Bombs, and Radials) for a tiny fraction of the cost. Most of them are exactly as the name suggests -- strictly decorative -- but Deco Lasers, which still retain their penetrative quality whilst also gaining the ability to attach slave modules, can make excellent delivery platforms if utilised correctly. Works well with Radial: Follow.

In Rage Burst, Ultra-Range was a modifier only available to initial modules of a Sniper bullet. In Resurrection, it is a pre-modified and freely movable stand-alone module. This template takes advantage of that fact to launch a Control module up into the air to gain the distance to power Ultra-Range. The recipe is labeled a template, because there is still room to add more modules. It can also be used for other gun types, but the same recipe above will cost 41 OP for Assaults, 56 OP for Blasts, and 57 for Shotguns.

The S in URS stands for “speed”, as this version has a significantly reduced delay from firing to hitting your target, at the cost of 10 more OP. You can also tweak the vertical of module 1 to sacrifice some reach and squeeze out a tiny bit more damage. At the default 70° it can hit targets within 24 tiles; at 80°, the reach shrinks to 19 tiles.

This Meteor-type bullet takes a hooked trajectory into the air, then comes gently gliding back down to the ground near an enemy before unleashing a cataclysmic detonation. The Bomb’s massive damage and AoE is fueled by the Anti-Gravity Shot, and because of how that scales, stepping down the size category of the module by even one (to L) weakens the recipe to the point where it can’t hit targets within 4.5 tiles distance from you (with LL there’s only a 1 tile blind spot).

The signature floor-sweeping bullet, adapted for Resurrection. It was impossible to avoid making it more expensive due to how it has to be constructed, and admittedly it’s a little weaker damage-wise with a reduced radius of only 12 tiles, but everyone should be glad that it’s available at all. Note that it needs about 2 tiles of open space to fully resolve, so don’t fire it facing any terrain.

A point-blank use bullet for delivering reliable damage thanks to AP and automatic enemy facing. Restores 2 OP on hit, for an effective cost of 49 OP. Can be used by all gun types, but the Assault version is more expensive, clocking in at 57 OP (55 effective) and making it less suitable for default Oracle bars. Surprisingly effective with Snipers, thanks to the gun boosting critical damage, an interaction which makes sense but wasn’t given much thought until now.

Hi! I am a newbie with a new OL machine bought just a month ago and used almost everyday. I tried pouring just hot water in a cup and saw lots of bits of I don’t know what. Some of them even look like an eyelash, and some like pepper. Is that even normal? I followed the instructions to clear the water out the first time I used it. It came out clear that time, but now I can see those things. Should I run the water every week or so? I also use distilled bottled water for my coffee.

For about a month back I tried the XM4s and was pretty surprised that the headband made a creaking noise and a click every time I took a step with them on or even moved my head a little. I had them for about a week then I was tired of the noise so I returned them and tried other headphones like Bose 700, Philips Fidelio l3 and QC35 II. Those were all good headphones, don't get me wrong, but I missed the sound of the XM4s and decided to give them one more chance. This time I went with the Blue variant (the previous one was black). This time they felt a bit different. I could hear no creaking sound or any other noise from the headband or the cups. I was pleasantly surprised and though: "So this how they are supposed to be!" And now I'm really happy that I tried them one more time, they even feel more comfortable (might just be me of course).
So if any of you have creaking and clicking noises from your headphones, try changing them out. It worked for me at least. Of course the noise might come back, but at least for now, I'm really enjoying them and it is my best headphone purchase to date.
